1/Heidi Klum


Heidi Klum is one of the sexiest supermodels to have ever walked the runway.This German supermodel started out in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and the Victoria’s Secret catalog. She also appeared on several T.V. shows and now produces Telivision shows.

Heidi Klum has been on the cover of fashion magazines, including Vogue, Elle, and Marie Claire. She became widely known after appearing on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and for her work with Victoria’s Secret as an “Angel”.Klum has hosted the 2002, 2006, 2007 and 2009 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Shows. On October 1, 2010, the New York Post reported on its page six gossip column that Heidi Klum would be leaving Victoria’s Secret. Klum said she’s hanging up her wings and will not be walking in the November show.

Heidi became Barbie’s official ambassador for the doll’s 50th anniversary in 2009, even having made a Barbie doll out of herself. On April 1 that same year, she appeared on the CBStelevision special, I Get That a Lot, as a girl working at a pizza shop.That same year, she appeared in advertising for Dannon’s Light & Fit brand.

2/Tyra Banks

Tyra started out at 17 years of age in Paris, runway modeling. She later posed for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and is most famous for her work as a Victoria’s Secret model. She now hosts her own talk show called “The Tyra Banks Show”.

Banks began modeling in the 11th grade.She later went to Paris, France to do some runway modeling. Within Banks’ first week in Paris, she was booked for twenty-five shows.She has done extensive print and/or runway work for fashion/advertising giants, such as Anna Sui, CoverGirl, Bill Blass, Chanel, Victoria’s Secret, and Yves Saint Laurent. She has appeared on the covers of high-fashion magazines such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, and Elle.

Banks was the first African American woman on the covers of GQ and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.In 1997, she received the VH1 award for Supermodel of the Year. That same year, she became the first-ever African American chosen for the cover of the Victoria’s Secret catalog.

In 1998, Banks authored a book entitled Tyra’s Beauty, Inside and Out. The book was advertised as a resource for helping women to make the most out of their natural beauty.

Banks retired from modeling in May 2005 to concentrate on her television career. She walked the runway for the final time at the 2005 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

3/Adriana Francesca Lima

Adriana Lima is a Brazilian supermodel who is best known for her modeling work with Victoria’s Secret and Maybelline. She was born on June 12, 1981 and was discovered while shopping at a local mall at the age of 13. Adriana Lima has appeared on the covers of numerous fashion magazines as well as walking the runway for some of the world’s most famous designers. She first appeared in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 1999.

Adriana Lima’s substantial industry power and strong physical appeal have earned her an amount of fame that puts her among the very best in her profession. 4/Kate Moss

Moss was discovered in 1988 at the age of 14 by Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Model Management, at JFK Airport in New York City,after a holiday in the Bahamas. Moss’s career began when Corinne Day shot black-and-white photographs of her, styled by Melanie Ward, for British magazine The Face when she was 16, in a photo shoot titled “The 3rd Summer of Love”.

She has also helped to launch the SamandRuby charity in March 2006. The charity was started to provide funding for the education and shelter of Thai children. The SamandRuby organisation is named after a friend of Moss’s, Samantha Archer Fayet, and her 6-month-old daughter Ruby Rose who were killed by the Tsunami while visiting Thailand.Moss also supports the Elton John AIDS Foundation, the Hoping Foundation, the Lucie Blackman Trust, Make Poverty History, Comic Relief and Homes of Hope.

Gisele has graced the covers of countless magazines as any other model in the history, including Rolling Stone, Time, Forbes, Newsweek and all the fashion top magazines such as Vogue, W, Cosmopolitan, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, i-D, The Face, and many others. Gisele also has multi-million dollars deals with some of the world’s biggest companies. Milla was discovered at the tender age of 11. She was featured in Revlon’s “Most Unforgettable Women in the World” advertisements. At a young age, she appeared on the cover of many fashion magazines which spurred her acting career.

Jovovich had begun working on a music album as early as 1988, when she was signed by SBK Records after the company heard a demo she recorded.In August 1990, she asserted in an interview that the then-forthcoming album would be “a mix between Kate Bush, Sinéad O’Connor, This Mortal Coil, and the Cocteau Twins”.

Cindy Crawford is one of the greatest supermodels of all time. She was discovered when she was just 16 years old while working at her summer job (pollinating corn). She entered the John Casablancas Look of the year contest and came in 2nd place. That convinced her to persue a full-time modeling career.

Crawford has also been on TV and in films. From 1989 to 1995, Crawford was host of MTV’s House of Style. In the early 1990s, Crawford starred in thePepsi and Pepsi Stuff advertising.In 1995, Crawford broke into movies as the female lead in the movie Fair Game.

Laetitia Casta was discovered by a photographer during a family holiday in Corsica.

In 1996, Laetitia became one of the lead models of Victoria’s Secret and from there was featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition for three consecutive years. She has appeared on over 100 covers of fashion magazines such as Cosmopolitan and Glamour, as well as doing commercials for the cosmetics company L’Oreal. Laetitia made her feature film debut in Astérix et Obélix contre César (1999), the most expensive French film ever made and a smash hit in Europe. 9/Alessandra Ambrosio

Ambrosio is best known for her work with Victoria’s Secret and was chosen as the first spokesmodel for the company’s “PINK” line. Ambrosio is currently one of the Victoria’s Secret Angels and has modeled for brands such as Next, Armani Exchange, Christian Dior, and Ralph Lauren.

Naomi Campbell is a British supermodel who first appeared in Bob Marley’s music video for his song Is This Love? at the age of seven. At 15 she was discovered for modeling while she was window shopping in a shopping district in London, England. She started her career as a catwalk model and was quickly introduced into the american market in some high profile advertising campaigns.

Campbell is involved with several charitable causes. She supports the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund, for which she organised a benefitVersace fashion show in 1998.Held at Nelson Mandela’s South African presidential residence,the show was the subject of a documentary titled FashionKingdom, or alternatively, Naomi Conquers Africa.

In 2010, Sarah Brown presented her with an “Outstanding Contribution” award from BritishElle for her work as an ambassador for the White Ribbon Alliance, as well as her work in the fashion industry.
