Square cut or pear-shaped, diamonds really are a girl's best friend.
Especially when it comes with an elaborate ceremony and everlasting
love. This weekend Anne Hathaway found a new BF when Adam Shulman, her
boyfriend of three years, proposed.
As if the proposal
wasn't enough, Shulman designed the ring with some help from Kwiat
Heritage Jewels. Although no official statement has been made regaring
Hathaway's new bling, it seems to be a simple cushion cut with a cluster
of diamonds. Beautiful and basic. But how does her ring stack up to
some of the other bling of 2011?
Kate Middleton
This British beauty earned more than a royal title when Prince William proposed. Middleton also inherited Princess Diana's
18 carat sapphire. Although a non-tradiational engagement gem, 14
diamonds circled the blue stone. As an added bonus, she had something
blue on her wedding day.
Jessica Simpson
This mom-to-be had to hold off on her wedding, but she can still
flaunt her engagement bling. When Eric Jonhson proposed to Simpson, he
did so with a ruby flanked by two four-carat diamonds. Now she can give
birth in high end jewelry and high-heeled shoes. Stunning or stupid?
Kim Kardashian
You can't discuss 2011 weddings without brining up the Miss
Kardashian. He may have been an a-shole but Kris Humphries had good
taste, selecting a 20.5-carat Lorrain diamond engagement ring, worth
almost $2 million. Clearly a good investment.
Kim Zolciak
I have yet to find something of this Real Housewives fo Atlanta
star's wedding that I don't love. In addition to three stunning
outfits, Zolciak rocked a 10-carat square cut on her wedding day to Kroy
Biermann. Can't wait to get a closer look when her wedding special
premiers.
Bella Swan
She may be fiction, but the female protagonist of the Twilight
series rocked bling that most of us will never attain. Author Stephanie
Meyer collaborated with InfinityJewelery Company to create this
gorgeous oval-cut multi diamond ring. Maybe I should try to score a
vampire.
