Status of the Affordable Care Act

Affordable Care Act adopted by Congress in over a year ago and I received a lot of questions about when it is implemented and if it has hit the higher courts. First of all, seems to always go to the Supreme Court, and most likely will be heard during the 2012 election. We do not know if it is beaten. Although the Supreme Court is conservative, who would assume that they will vote against it, is a very good chance it will pass. They have already given once an appeal by the government in favor of Obama care but we have to wait and see.

Now let us discuss the plan itself. Remember that the Care Act is intended to extend affordable health care to an additional 30 million Americans who will be achieved through several measures. Private insurers are not allowed to refuse the applicant's health insurance because of pre-existing conditions. Most of these provisions apply and will be fully implemented in 2014. In addition, Medicaid coverage should be extended and shall come into force in 2014. The provision on pre-existing conditions currently only includes children and adults will meet in 2014. Also part of the plan involves federal funding to help cover the additional costs associated with pre-existing conditions until 2014. Law also covers preventive care, which essentially means that insurers have to remove the CO pays for some preventive care procedures.

For example, an annual check-up, blood pressure, and the name of the letters are in this category. This function is partially valid, and is fully implemented in 2014. Another aspect of the Affordable Care Act is that Medicare patients receive a discount prescription drug costs between $ 2 840 and $ 6,448. This difference was previously covered by the Government to review the patient, but was interrupted last year. Affordable Care Act to cover this deficit and the reduction is very significant as it covers 50% of brand-name drugs and 7% for generics. As you can see, there are many changes have already occurred and it is important to maintain law and the amendments relate. If you are aware of the provisions of the law as a free annual check-up Remember to tell your doctor and be sure you can work in a network insurance.
