How Laser Hair Removal Is Done

Laser hair removal from Boston to the Bahamas can be a wonderful procedure for people who do not like having much hair on their faces or bodies. The ways in which people can get rid of too much pilosity are many. The procedure is done by using a beam of light that affects the follicles. Even if the procedure can be painful rarely, there are no real reasons for it to cause pain. The main advantage of the procedure is its permanent effect and the technician who handles the operation is responsible for the results.

There are many classical ways of taking down the follicles, which can be annoying. Regular methods may be good to apply, but their effects are only temporary. Some of the methods which do not involve laser can be: waxing, shaving, or electrolysis. The method that uses laser may not be recommended for anyone. Before trying anything, people must inform themselves about how the procedure works.

With the aid of an invisible beam and a constant heat source, the follicles are destroyed from their rots and the skin around them is not affected at all. What is actually targeted and destroyed is the melanin, which is a component of dark color follicles. The procedure has more success if it is applied in the anagen phase, which is the phase of active growth for a follicle. Eighty five percent of a human lifetime belongs to an anagen phase.

The treatment does not work on any individual, but only on those who have dark hair and fair skin. Because melanin is a substance that can also be part of the epidermal tissue, people with dark skin are not suitable for the procedure. The beam of light used in the treatment is attracted only by the dark in the follicles, so blond or red-headed people cannot apply.

The modern method which uses light beams is effective, precise, cost efficient and permanent. In order to avoid the irritations that could appear because of eliminating the roots, the skin should be cooled with the use of a special gel, spray, or any other cooling device. Irritations can cause pains, but in most cases, the patient may not feel anything.
